Congratulations to the boys baseball team on winning their season opener on Saturday by a score of 14-2 against Dunlap Middle!
Warrior athletes were on fire this weekend! Way to work! Softball heads to Morton tonight with baseball facing East Peoria at home. Both games start at 4:15. Cross country is back in action tomorrow night at Eureka. Good luck, Warriors!
Here are the Warrior events for the week of 8/19-8/24! Lots of opportunities to come out and support our teams. For students in grades 5-8, if you'd like to earn house points, find Mrs. V on Monday, Mr. Mair on Tuesday, and Ms. Williams on Saturday at the games to let them know you were in attendance.

Our dance and cheer teams welcomed students (and Mr. Mair) into the building this morning. They then performed the school fight song at the pep assembly. Great job, ladies!
Softball placed their new signs out front of the school last night. They take on El-Paso Gridley at home tonight at 4:15! Good luck, ladies!!!
Teachers were all back in the building yesterday! We kicked off our day with teambuilding activities. Teachers participated in word scrambles, scavenger hunts, memory games, and math riddles. They even played "The Floor is Lava" and earned the first points for this year's Warrior Houses. We are excited to welcome students back to our House tomorrow!

We are proud to announce that our school got 2nd place in the School Spirit Competition on Facebook hosted by Joyful Yard Signs.
We will have a Back to School display outside Door #9 from Wednesday August 14th-Friday, August 16th.

The GHMS cheer and dance team have teamed up for a dance camp this week! They have been working together to learn the school fight song and build some relationships along the way! Independently they have been working hard on some strength and conditioning to get ready for the 2024/25 sports season! Go Warriors!
